Cool Christmas in Charles City

Above, kids are bundled up in scarves and coats as they ride a float during Charles City's annual Christmas parade on Dec. 19. Approximately 75 entries participated in the event. Below, Aniya White sits high atop her ride as Miss Charles City Volunteer Fire Department for the upcoming year and at bottom, the Black Gum Saddle Club trot down the road on their way to being named as best special entry unit in the parade. Other winners are: Bands- 1. Richmond City Public Schools All-City Band, 2. Charles City High School. Walking Unit- 1. Charles City High School Cheerleaders, T-2. Charles City Recreational Cheerleaders, T-2. Charles City High School JROTC. Floats- 1. Seymour Electrical, 2. Vessels International. Special Entry- 1. Black Gum Saddle, 2. Blue Angels K-9, 3. Hanover Trailblazers.
