Letter to the Editor: Thanks New Kent rescue workers for assistance

I would like to thank [New Kent] Fire Stations 1 and 3 for their help on Nov. 11 when my brother, Michael Ballard, had a heart attack and died. The firefighters were wonderful and so helpful. I would like to thank Deputy David Teagle for his assistance during this period of time. He stayed with me and guided me through this process.

Such a time is so stressful. It is hard to think, and having such fine people come to my aid helped more than words can say. I just want to thank them for their time, training, and patience during this difficult time.
