Students were required to construct either vehicles or bridges made of balsa wood to hold weights. Each team from the school also participated at the state level. Central Virginia Emergency Management Alliance (CVEMA) will host its sixth annual Survivor Day on Saturday, June 13, 8 a.m.-12 p.m. at locations in central Virginia, including Charles City and New Kent. The event is focused on providing citizens ways to prepare in case of emergencies and disasters such as hurricanes, tornadoes, and other hazards.
