Letter to the Editor: Says more people should help New Kent firefighters and rescue workers

We would like more people to help the firefighters and rescue workers in our community. We think people should appreciate them more. They are nice, caring people and they risk their lives to save others. We are going to visit them and give them goodies and make them scarves to stay warm. Springman earns degree from University of South Dakota

Joel Edmund Michael Springman, a resident of Quinton, graduated from the University of South Dakota on Dec. 12. Springman was among 560 graduates who took place in the winter commencement ceremonies. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in History.

Providence Forge Volunteer Fire/Rescue (Company 1) is announcing its 2015 Santa Run schedule. Santa will leave from Station 1 (weather permitting) at 6:30 p.m. and travel with his caravan to the designated neighborhoods.
