“Goins” out a winner

In a bittersweet performance before relocating to Texas, Clara Goins (above) sings "He is Within", a self-written song to claim first place in the fourth and fifth grade division during New Kent Elementary School's seventh annual talent show sponsored by NKES PTO. Twenty-four acts took to the stage, performing in front of a crowd of more than 350 people with a variety of acts and entertainment. Below, Hayden Hillis rocks to the beat of "Watch Me" and dances his way to first place in the PreK-third grade division, while at bottom, the Coyle Sisters (Chloe, Cambell, and Carrington), construct a pyramid as part of their gymnastics routine to earn silver medals in the fourth and fifth grade division.
