Gardy captures two firsts in state surveyors competition
New Kent surveyor David R. Gardy, LS, of Gardy and Associates P.C., is the first place winner in both the ALTA/ACSM Surveys Maps and the Miscellaneous Maps (Boundary Line Adjustment Plat) categories of the Plat Contest held during the annual Virginia Association of Surveyors General Membership Meeting and Convention.
Surveyors from across the Commonwealth showed their best work in the Plat Contest during the event held Jan. 21-23 in Norfolk.
The Plat Contest judges adhere to the minimum standards set forth by NSPS and VAS. Entries are judged by a panel of surveying professionals. Other categories include subdivision plats, topographical maps, and boundary/cadastral maps.
