Local students earn academic honors at JTCC

Several local students were recognized for academic honors by John Tyler Community College for success during the Fall 2015 semester.

Recognized on the Honor’s List are Lena Duke of Charles City, Casey Rapalee of Providence Forge, Cecilia Garner, Carter Gilland, and John Sweat, all of New Kent, and Samantha Chapman and Kaylin Seely, both of Quinton. To be named to the Honor’s List, a student must have completed 24 credit hours and maintain a cumulative grade-point average of 3.5 or higher.

Two other students were named to the Dean’s List for the fall semester. Sierra Adkins of Providence Forge and Elizabeth Donovan of Quinton both were recognized for their academic achievement. To be named to the Dean’s List, a student must maintain a grade-point average of 3.2 or higher for the semester.
