Letter to the Editor: Says one-cent should be added to NK tax rate

It is truly pathetic when opening the pages of the New Kent-Charles City Chronicle to note that New Kent Supervisors are still dithering over whether or not to add a cent to local taxes.

A cent should be added in order to provide teachers and other local employees with a respectable and meaningful salary increase.

Arguing over this minimal increase is both shortsighted and mean spirited, to say the least.
