New Kent Chamber of Commerce awards seven scholarships to BCCTC students
New Kent’s Chamber of Commerce presented seven scholarships to students of Bridging Communities Regional Career and Technical Center during its monthly meeting on Apr. 19.
After a presentation from school director Dr. Stephen Trexler and students of the school, scholarship recipients were recognized by the Chamber for their academic achievements.
Scholarship recipients are Cameron Baldwin ($1,000), Cheyanne Hall ($500), Preston Herman ($500), Amber Holmes ($500), Cullen Kettle ($500), Dominique Palermo ($500), and Phillip Simmons ($500).
Scholarships were divided into the areas of four-year college attendees, continued education and apprenticeship programs, and workforce career.
