‘CERT’-ified graduates

Charles City Board of Supervisor chairman Floyd Miles Sr. (left) congratulates Kathleen Borkey, Barbara Carper, and Bill Carper for completing Charles City's Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) program during Tuesday night's meeting. The eight-week course consisted of meeting once a week for three hours to receive training in how to handle first aid, rescue, fire safety, and more during times of crisis. This is the third year for the program that has produced 20 graduates.
