New Kent Historical Society museum opens

New Kent county administrator Rodney Hathaway (right) offers congratulations as part of the grand opening of the New Kent Historical Society museum on June 4. Approximately 50 people were in attendance to see the transformation of the former two-room school into the new home of artifacts, toys, and more dating back to the early 1900s. The ceremony was emceed by Paul Robinson (left) and dedicated with a ribbon cutting by Dusty Crump (center). The museum is open every Saturday from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. and by special request.
