New rides were a part of Charles City County Fair’s midway, as kids were able to scrub their worries away in the swinging bathtubs.
Joy Starkey (above) proudly displays her blue ribbon as her baked dish was named “Best Gingerbread of Charles City” in this year’s contest. Her success undoubtedly will add her name onto the wall of “Best in Charles City” exhibit, a display highlighted by pictures of winners who appeared in the Chronicle (below).
