RCC-RILL returns for fall course
Rappahannock Community College (RCC) has announced a fall offering of the Rappahannock Institute for Lifelong Learning (RILL) program this October.
The program, entitled “Continuing the Magical Tour of New Kent County,” will be a follow-up from the spring 2016 program. Under the instruction of LaVonne Allen at RCC’s New Kent Campus, attendees will walk along the Washington Rochambeau Wagon Trail used in 1781, sit in the jury box at the Old New Kent Courthouse, and meet a mystery guest at the New Kent Historical Museum. Other activities include tour the historic homes of “Iden” and “Cedar Lane”, the birthplace of President John Tyler’s wife Letitia in “Cedar Grove,” and a trip to Emmaus Baptist Church.
Classes will be held on Oct. 11, 18, and 25 (each Tuesday) from 1-3 p.m. Advance registration and a tuition payment of $35 is required to take the course.
