New Kent Envirothon returns Apr. 22

After a one year hiatus, the New Kent Envirothon will return on Saturday, Apr. 22.

In conjunction with the New Kent Virginia Cooperative Extension Office, New Kent Clean County Committee, Alliance of Wild Animal Rehabilitators and Educators (AWARE), and Virginia Farm Bureau, the event will have a variety of activities as the event coincides with Earth Day. Activities include educational demonstrations, live animal demonstrations by AWARE rehabilitators, and a variety of booths with tips and tricks for helping the environment.

The event is scheduled for 9 a.m.-2 p.m. at the Historic New Kent High School. Live animal demonstrations are scheduled for 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. For more information, contact New Kent’s extension office at 966-9645.
