Heartwarming homecoming

Jacob Kothe (right), a graduate of New Kent High School’s class of 2012, is greeted on Apr. 1 after serving an 11-month deployment in Qatar for the Virginia National Guard. Kothe served in the Lynchburg-based 1st Batallion, and the 116th Infantry Reigiment, 116th Infantry Brigade Combat Team and is one of the 450 soldiers who returned in the battalion known as the “Red Dragons.”
