Celebrating the arts in New Kent

Above, New Kent Middle School's beginning band plays "Ode to Joy" as part of the Seventeenth Annual "Celebrate the Arts" at New Kent High School on Apr. 29. Visitors flocked the hallways to view exhibits and listen to live music, while others enjoyed performances and plays inside of the school's auditorium. Below, hands-on activities such as painting presented opportunities for aspiring artists, while at bottom, paintings, portraits, and other drawings covered many of the school's hallways as part of the exhibit.
