‘A Taste of New Kent’ Wine Festival

Cool, overcast weather left over from two days of rain may have kept crowd numbers down but hundreds who attended "A Taste of New Kent" Wine Festival appeared to enjoy themselves Saturday afternoon at New Kent Winery. Patrons visited booths manned by wineries from throughout the state, including the host winery (first photo below) and nearby Saude Creek Winery (second photo below) along with craft and food vendors. Many took advantage of carriage rides as the clouds eventually began to break up, allowing sunshine to warm the air and dry the surroundings. The festival is presented annually by the New Kent Chamber of Commerce along with C&F Bank and the New Kent County Economic Development Authority.
