Charles City ‘Relay for Life’

Cancer survivors lead the first lap at Charles City's seventh annual 'Relay for Life' held on the high school's track Saturday evening. More than 40 survivors and 19 teams took part of the walk that raised $46,000 that will be used for research funding and provide care for those fighting cancer. Charles City was also recognized by the American Cancer Society for being an All-American Relay for their efforts in putting together the 2016 event.
