Letter to the Editor: Supports Ed Gillespie as next governor

Candidate Ed Gillespie released his plan to remove barriers to help in job creation for all Virginians. His focus on job creation is the reason I’ll vote for him on June 13.

Being self-employed, I understand the difficulties small businesses struggle with due to government regulations. Virginia’s economic growth rate was at two percent last year. This is just unacceptable as other states have growth rates and are opening up new jobs while Virginia lags behinds.

Virginia’s next governor has to be focused on fixing this problem. Ed is a person that we can trust to address the issue and depend on to get the job done. He recognizes that the government needs to get out of the way so that the private sector can grow and create jobs. His policies are formulated to expand the job market and support businesses in the state.

It’s too difficult for businesses and entrepreneurs to expand and hire more employees when there are so many bureaucratic obstacles in the way. Ed will work hard to create a more common-sense environment.

Virginia needs a leader that will fight against overregulation and will focus on economic growth. I’m a firm believer in him being the right choice for our next governor. I’m excited to vote for Ed Gillespie and I give him my full support.
