Triathlon to impact roads in eastern Charles City on July 8

Roads in eastern Charles City will experience delays during the early morning hours on July 8 due to a triathlon.

The Rev3 triathlon will begin in James City County and enter Charles City. Traffic is expected to be impacted between 5 a.m.-11 a.m. The race will take place on Route 5 (John Tyler Memorial Highway), with part of the event also happening on the Virginia Capital Trail.

The event, which takes place over two days, expects no impact to travel on Sunday.
