MADD recognizes officers

(L to R) New Kent Captain Joey McLaughlin, Virginia State Trooper Jonathan Miles, and New Kent Deputy Eric Mitchell were recognized for outstanding efforts against drunk driving at Central Virginia’s MADD (Mother’s Against Drunk Drivers) awards ceremony on Oct. 3. The award is presented to officers who put in the upmost effort to keep impaired and intoxicated drivers off the highway. Accompanying the officers is New Kent County Sheriff J. Joseph McLaughlin Jr.
