NKFR Honor Guard

New Kent Fire and Rescue presented the organization’s first honor guard during the presentation of colors at the county’s board of supervisors Nov. 15 meeting. The group represents a tradition that is carried by several fire and rescue departments that present the colors at events, funerals, and other community functions. Members of the honor guard are Chip Amen, Ryan Shelton, Michael Ervin, Cody VanLelivead, and Ron Harrington (not pictured).
