New Kent Middle School student to spend six weeks in Spain as part of foreign language program
Joseph DuVal, an eighth grader at New Kent Middle School, has been accepted to a six-week teen summer language program in Spain.
Through the Greenheart International Education program, DuVal will be traveling to Salamanca, Spain to continue his studies in the foreign language. He completed two essays along with a photo essay as part of the application process.
The program will include 20 hours of week of classroom instruction in the Spanish language as well as an additional 10 hours of organized activities. DuVal was selected as a partial scholarship winner for his journey, receiving $1,000 for his summer excursion.
