First ‘State Banquet’

The Chickahominy Tribal Center in Charles City hosted the first “State Banquet” between the Chickahominy Tribe, Charles City County, surrounding tribes, and British Delegation on Sunday, May 20. The celebration reflected on the life of Pocahontas and her relationship to close the gap between Native Americans and the British people. Above, Chickahominy Tribe Chief Stephen Adkins (right) is joined by former Virginia Governor Tim Kaine (left), while below, a mixture of members of the Chickahominy Tribe, local delegates, and representatives from Great Britain join in for lunch and the informative session.
