New Kent Sheriff’s Office wins VACP award

New Kent Sheriff’s Office is the recipient of the Virginia Association of Chiefs of Police (VACP) Virginia Law Enforcement Challenge Award for the small divisions’ category (1-50 members).

The office was recognized on Sept. 11 at the 93rd VACP annual training conference. The award signifies that New Kent Sheriff’s Office mission on serving and protecting citizens, reducing injuries, fatalities, and overall numbers of traffic crashes. The office also received a special award for outstanding enforcement and education efforts in the areas of occupant protection.
