New Kent High School theatre production finishes third at state competition

New Kent High School’s theater team earned a third-place finish at the Group 3A State Theatre Festival on Monday, Dec. 3.

Students performed a one-act play in front of judges who ranked the group on acting skills, performance, stage presence, scenery, and management.

Jake Ferris was selected to the all-state acting performance team while Billy Bowery was an honorable mention selection.
