CCES jumps ropes to record amount

Charles City Elementary School students raised over $6,200 as part of the annual “Jump Rope for Heart” event on Feb. 15. The donation is the most the school has ever raised and will present to the American Heart Association to help with research to assist kids with heart problems. Rewards for the students included dressing up principal Edward Van Dyke as a ballerina and physical education teacher being duct taped to a wall and slimed.
