Letter to the Editor: Says Peace is right man for House of Delegates

I am truly disheartened to see all of the mean-spirited tactics that are being used to dilute the right of citizens to vote and demean Delegate Chris Peace.

Chris Peace has truly been a friend to New Kent County and has worked tirelessly to help our county grow. While he works closely with the board of supervisors, his influence at the state level allows New Kent to flourish. He is the chairman of the General Laws Committee and serves on House Appropriations.

Just this General Assembly session, Chris was a chief co-patron on the Republican tax relief plan, which was the second largest tax cut in Virginia history. He also was able to shepherd legislation that re-opened Colonial Downs.

Chris is a conservative that represents his district in an extremely thoughtful and deliberate manner. When needed to preserve Republican views, he sees the larger picture and makes the right decisions.

New Kent needs Chris Peace to represent us at the General Assembly. I’d urge all to please attend the May 4 Convention and sign up to be a delegate in support of Chris Peace.
