Surveying awards

David Gardy, a local New Kent surveyor, was announced as the first-place winner in the subdivision plats category and second place winner in the miscellaneous maps category at the Virginia Association of Surveyors (VAS) general membership meeting held Apr. 23-27 in Herndon. The annual contest adheres to minimum standards set for by the National Society of Professional Surveyors and VAS, with entries judged by a panel of professionals.
