Charles City duo honored on Women’s Monument

Two Charles City County women have been honored on the Women’s Monument on Capitol Square in Richmond.

Anna Bland, who was principle in a lawsuit, and Mary Byrd, a planter, had their names inscribed on the Wall of Honor. Their names are among 230 Virginia women who made unique contributions to the state’s culture and history.
