Captain William “Joe” McCauley (right) of Charles City’s Volunteer Fire Department salutes a flag presented by Woodman Life Chapter 252 of Charles City members (l to r) Melvin Stewart, Milford Bradby, and Louis Stewart during a Saturday morning presentation at Fire Station One. The gift was presented to the station to beautify the grounds and replace an aging flag that had flown over the station for several decades.
