Survey, public hearing to be held as part of search for new Charles City Schools’ superintendent
Charles City County Public Schools has announced that it will seek input from the public in the search for a new superintendent of schools.
In addition to using services provided by the Virginia School Boards Association (VSBA), a survey has been created related to superintendent criteria. The survey can be accessed, by going to www.surveymonkey.com/r/CharlesCityCountySearch, visiting the school division’s website, or picking up hard copies at either the school board office or the main offices of the elementary and high school.
“Hiring a new superintendent is the biggest task a school board will face, and we want to make sure the public has a voice in this process,” said school board chairman Rodney Tyler in a press release. “We hope that parents, staff, and residents will take time to fill out the survey or attend the public hearing.”
The public hearing will take place on Monday, Feb. 24, 2020, 6:30 p.m., at the high school auditorium.
