New Kent’s Lion Club offering scholarships

New Kent’s Lions Club is offering a $1,000 to one graduating senior from both New Kent High School and Charles City High School that have been accepted to an institution of higher learning.

Selection will be based upon community service, with consideration given to leadership, future goals, extracurricular activities, and need.

The Earl Scott Memorial Scholarship is available through CCHS’s scholarship tracker at https://cchs.ccps.net/groups/74580/guidance/home. The Mac L. Hodge Memorial Scholarship is available at www.nkhs.newkentschoolsorg/students/school.counseling/scholarships.

All applications are due May 31 and can be emailed to newkentlionsclub@gmail.com or mailed to Mary MacDonald at 772 W. Riverside Drive, Lanexa, VA 23089.
