Sharp named medical director of Cumberland Hospital

Cumberland Hospital for Children and Adolescents in New Kent has appointed Dr. Brett Sharp as its new medical director.

Sharp is a triple board physical with 29 years of clinical experience and has served in a number of staff, private practice and medical director roles, as well as a pediatrician and pediatric psychiatrist.

Sharp, who assumed his position on April 20, will oversee medical care to patients at the hospital that deals with children and adolescents who have a chronic illness, brain injury, or neurological impairment.

The hospital remains open throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.
