Charles City Historic Courthouse rededication

Above, Mike Johnson stands inside the newly restored Charles City Historical Courthouse during a Sunday afternoon rededication ceremony. The event honored the late Donald Earl Hayes, who was instrumental in the restoration process, and provided a fresh new start for the third oldest courthouse in the United States. The refurbishment for the building that is listed on the United States National Landmark Registry is part of the ongoing Courthouse Complex development for Charles City County.
