Honored by New Kent County

New Kent Deputy James Sidney Burrell Sr. (left), New Kent Victim Advocate Karen Mortensen (center), and interim director of social services Susan Grey (right) were recognized during Monday evening’s New Kent Board of Supervisors’ meeting. Burrell was recognized for more than 30 years of service to New Kent County in a variety of agencies, while Mortensen and Grey were honored for their contributions to the Bridges of Change, an organization that provides shelter to victims of domestic abuse.
