Silver Scout Award

Quinton resident Amanda Quinton earned her Girl Scout Silver Award after completing her project at Providence United Methodist Church. The Girl Scout Troop 565 member, based out of New Kent, created a “Leave a Book, Take a Book” library with a United States Flag recycling box for residents to use to encourage reading and also donate their old flags for proper disposal. The Girl Scout Silver Award is the highest that can be earned for students grade 6-8.
