Heritage Public Library receives $3,000 grant from American Library Association
Heritage Public Library has selected as a recipient of a national grant for small and rural libraries. The grant is part of an ongoing study conducted by the American Library Association that focuses on transforming library communities in small localities.
“We are so proud to be chosen for this amazing opportunity,” said Heritage Public Library Director Chandra McPherson. “This grant will allow our library to get to know our residents better and help us find out what our community wants us to do to support their science literacy needs.
The $3,000 grant will assist the library will be used to improve science literacy and purchase much-needed science equipment for patrons of all ages.
