Locals recognized for academic honors by James Madison University

Several local students were recognized for their academic achievement at James Madison University for the Spring 2021 semester.

Marisa Turner of New Kent was named to the President’s List. In order to be recognized for the accomplishment, a student must accumulate a grade-point average of 3.9 or better while taking at least 12 credit hours.

Fifteen others were recognized on James Madison University’s Dean’s List. In order to make that list, a student must earn a grade-point average of 3.5 or higher while taking at least 12 credit hours. Honorees are Larsen Stewart, Jacob Mattson, Camden Key, and Jada Cotman, all of Providence Forge, Tiffany Tolley, Isabelle Aczel, and Holly Hazelwood, all of Lanexa, Emma Villano and Ellie Ferrell, both of New Kent, Molly Wallace, Hanna Giewont, Caroline Hendrick, Sarah Major, and Alexis Batkins, all of Quinton, and Sara Ward of Barhamsville.
