Donation to Charles City food pantry

Charles City County Administrator Michelle Johnson (left) accepts a $40,000 donation check from John Randolph Foundation representative Elisa Carraway (right) during a July 22 ceremony. The monetary funds will be used in the county’s development of a permanent food pantry to significantly reduce food insecurity. The pantry is scheduled to open in July 2022.
