New Kent alum Williams instrumental in $1 million donation to HBCUs

Richard E. Williams Jr., a 1980 graduate of New Kent High School and current president of Virginia Sports and Technology Group, assisted with the awarding of a $1 million donation to Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) located in Virginia.

The donation was presented by Golden Nugget Online Gaming, with Williams being instrumental in organizing the contribution. The donation will be split among five colleges and universities throughout the state.
