Meeting a four-star general

Dominiquie Akrie-Williams (left), a 2019 graduate of New Kent High School, was chosen by his peers and commanders to meet current United States Army four-star general Paul E. Funk II during a leadership conference as part of his training at Fort Jackson, South Carolina. He was presented with a doctrine and training coin as part of this ceremony. Akrie-Williams is set to graduate from basic training on Oct. 28.
