New Kent Lions Club collecting plastic material

New Kent County Lions Club is collecting soft plastic material as part of a recycling project.

The group will be collecting the material on Nov. 10 and Nov. 17, from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. at the Providence Forge Food Lion parking lot, and from 3-5 p.m. at the Food Lion on 249 in Quinton.

Items being collected include grocery bags, bubble wrap, bread bags, and other plastic storage bags. The items will be used to create benches that will be placed around the county.
