Heritage Public Library hosting World War II reenactment on Nov. 13

Heritage Public Library’s branch located in Charles City will host a World War II reenactment event on Nov. 13.

From 10 a.m.-5 p.m., the Intelligence and Reconnaissance Platoon, 41st Armored Infantry Regiment, 2nd Armored Division, and the American Red Cross in the European Theater of Operations will put on the reenactment of the event. The group will reenact World War II camps by setting up tents and equipment from the era, and have individuals represent actual people who fought and supported fighters in the war.

“We are thrilled to collaborate with this group,” said Jan Marry, Heritage Public Library’s programming coordinator of adult services. “We strive to provide a wide variety of events and programs for our great community and this one is a first for us.”

The event is free to the public.
