Second annual Charles City High School Athletics and Activities Hall of Fame ceremony

Charles City County High School’s Athletics and Activities Department hosted its second annual Hall of Fame banquet Saturday afternoon. The banquet recognizes individuals who contributed to the growth of the athletics and activities as members of Ruthville High School or Charles City High School. Members of this year’s class are Dr. Linda Person Northington (left) who pioneered woman’s sports prior to the establishment of Title IX, Thomas Jones III (right) who was one of the first athletes to play at the collegiate level and returned to coach and educate in Charles City, and Angela Cotman (not pictured) who is the all-time scoring leader in the history of Charles City County High School’s girls’ basketball program and won two collegiate championships at Old Dominion University.
