Quilt of Valor

Charles City resident Charles Black (centered) was recently honored with a Quilt of Valor from the Quilts of Valor Foundation. A Quilt of Valor is awarded to a service member or veteran who has been touched by war and are handmade with the inscription “Thank you for your service and sacrifice in serving our nation.” Pictured with Black are his wife, Joanne (left) and stepdaughter, Jessica White (right).
