Editorial: The year 2022 will be a great year for all of us

This editorial is for everyone who has been lucky enough to get through Christmas and see a new year.

New Year’s Day is Saturday and 2022 should be a great year for us all. We have to be realistic and ask ourselves, “Is it really going to be different?” We must challenge ourselves to be better and stick to what we say we will do.

The new year will bring new and old challenges. It will bring decisions that we make, but it is a time to start fresh and realize that we can all change our futures and have the ability to do so. I look forward to the fresh start because it gives me hope. This is what I want everyone to hope for. We have all been through so much when it comes to the worldwide pandemic, and we are sadly still not out of the woods yet.

I want everyone to think about how lucky we are. It is hard enough to make a day in this unpredictable crazy world, but you made it for 365 days. You weathered the storm and made another year. Do not waste this opportunity. Take the time to do something that will leave a lasting legacy for years to come.

No matter how you plan to celebrate or not celebrate, let’s just remember that we are blessed to see 2022. Let’s make it the year of great memories.
