Recognizing Dr. Calvin Green’s legacy

Mary Green (left), wife of the late Dr. Calvin Green, attends a presentation at New Kent High School as part of the school’s focus on local history. Dr. Green fought to end racial segregation in New Kent County’s school system, leading to the federally recognized landmark case Green vs. New Kent County School Board.
