Above, Charles City Elementary School Teacher Juanita Pate (right) is congratulated by Charles City Superintendent of Schools Dalphine Joppy (left) as the division’s “Teacher of the Year” during the May 12 ceremony. Pate was recognized for her passion for education and teaching, going the extra mile to volunteer for school functions, and bringing continuity among coworkers and peers.
