Harper announced as new principal of Charles City High School

Dr. Anita Harper has been named as the new principal at Charles City County High School.

Harper recently served as an assistant principal at George Wythe High School in Richmond. She has over 20 years of educational experience, holding positions as a Career and Technical Education (CTE) business teacher, education for employment coordinator, and serving as an adjunct instructor for Southside Virginia Community College, and John Tyler Community College. She currently also works as an adjunct instructor for Virtual Virginia with the Virginia Department of Education.

“We are proud to announce Dr. Harper as principal of Charles City High School, and we are excited to have her join the CCPS team to support the work of teaching and learning and bring out the best in our scholars,” commented Charles City Superintendent of Schools Dr. Dalphine Joppy. “Dr. Harper brings an enthusiasm for instructional leadership and a personable approach that is contagious.”
